If you're coming to Kyoto in July, you'll have chance to feel the atmosphere of Gion Matsuri, one of the most famous festivals in Japan. It takes place over the entire month of July and is crowned by a
parade of 33 gorgeous Yamaboko floats generally called ‘moving museum’.
In 2014, the parade will be divided into two parts, Saki-Matsuri (Former Parade) on July 17th and Ato-Matsuri (Latter Parade) on July 24th.
