Continuing my previous post, here are some photos of sakura by night. They were made in Gion area, where the cherry trees along Shirakawa river are lighten up during the blossom peak season.
As you can see, I wasn't alone to admire the view ^-^
But wait, who is hiding on the tree?
If I'm not mistaken, it's shirasagi, white heron. Following shot shows how many birds were sharing the same tree ^-^
My sakura hunting ended in Maruyama park, in front of it's famous shidarezakura, a magnificent 80 year-old weeping cherry tree. I think it's doing quite well for its age.
