Yokoyama Bamboo company was founded in 1919, almost a century ago. The bamboo items displayed in the shop are mainly vases, dishware and other daily goods, but the company provides also construction materials for Japanese-style buildings, tea houses, inns and restaurants.
By the way, the company hold classes to make bamboo items. They take place in the showroom just behind the shop.
Yokoyama bamboo factory is just a few hundred meters to the north from the shop, and you can always ask to have a free tour of it.
