Kurumazaki-jinja is a shrine situated in Kyoto Saga area near Arashiyama. It honors a 12th century Confucian scholar and holds a Heian-style boat festival, Mifune Matsuri, on the third Sunday of May.
Kurumazaki-jinja is famous for its sub-shrine dedicated to entertainers. Comedians, actors, musicians and all who are working in show business come here to pray for success.
The whole place is very nice and calm. There are many marple trees in shrine precincts, and I think I'll come back here during the momiji season to admire their colors ^-^
